When it comes to success, the road taken to get there may be a different one for each person. No two people are exactly alike, so it makes sense that becoming successful is a uniquely individual process. The industry you choose should be a good fit for your skills, personality, and financial goals. Otherwise, no amount of hard work will bring you the kind of satisfaction that the right career has to offer.
When considering a new business venture, it’s important to complete a thorough investigation of the opportunity. A solid investment opportunity is one that will hold up under scrutiny. If you’re thinking about a Real Property Management franchise, we’d like to have an open and honest dialogue with you about what we’re looking for in franchise owners and what your professional goals may be. While you’ll learn all about what we have to offer and preview our unique business model, ultimately it is who you are that interests us most.
It’s important that you understand your own traits and values and that you are able to articulate your life goals. While it might be true that traveling salespeople make a lot of money, that life is not right for everyone. In the same way, when considering a Real Property Management franchise, it’s important to critically assess your skills and decide whether you are a good fit for the property management industry. While there is plenty of room to make the profession your own, there are still a few characteristics that are important for potential franchise owners to possess. An outgoing personality, strong communication skills, and an enjoyment of networking are all key traits of a successful franchise owner. Professionalism is also key – the one thing the property management industry doesn’t need is more amateurs.
This mutual investigation process is a vital first step toward becoming part of the Real Property Management team. Our franchise owners are partners, and whether we ultimately get to a yes or a no is less important than making sure that the business opportunity you’re investigating is truly the right one for you.
The property management industry is here to stay. Unlike other trends or temporary investment booms, property management is a stable industry. Right now, on average, about 1 out of every 3 homes in your neighborhood is a rental home. While the industry may evolve to meet the needs of new generations of renters, the need for quality property management companies isn’t going anywhere. That is why we want to be sure that we have enthusiastic new franchise owners who can bring intelligence and professionalism to the business.
The Real Property Management team includes over 300 locations nationwide, which amounts to more than 1,000 employees across the country. Each one of these people, from office owners to support staff, is dedicated to changing an industry. Would you like more information about being a part of the change? Contact us!
Fear is a powerful thing. It can be the driving force behind professional success, or become a barrier between you and your goals. Fear of failure can keep you stuck in ‘analysis paralysis’ constantly looking at new opportunities, but never picking a single path. Even if you do pick a path, fear of failure can keep you from taking the first step. While these are not unreasonable fears – any new business venture does include risk – it’s important to ask yourself one key question: If I keep doing what I’m currently doing, will my family achieve our financial and retirement goals?
If your answer is anything but an enthusiastic “Yes!” it’s important to stop and define for yourself what success looks like. Consider what might happen if you invest in a business with a proven franchise model: not only will you decrease fear of the unknown, but also will see reduced risk, increasing your chance for success.
If you have strong communication skills, enjoy networking and interacting with people, and want to be part of changing the standard for property management companies in your area, a Real Property Management franchise might be the right fit for you. Not only will you receive expert guidance and advice, you’ll become a leader in redefining what property management can be for both the investors and the residents you serve in your local community. The industry needs passionate professionals, like yourself, to offer quality property management services to the public.
Unlike other franchise opportunities that have a limited life expectancy due to current trends, property management has been around a long time and isn’t going anywhere. It is one of the most stable industries you’ll find, which means the business you’ve invested so much of yourself into won’t disappear in five years. The industry potential is substantial and growing: right now, in your own neighborhood, there’s a good chance that 1 in every 3 homes is a rental.
With over 300 locations nationwide and over 1,000 employees, Real Property Management is helping homeowners and real estate investors nationwide to grow their wealth and manage their properties. Our team of experts and franchise owners is dedicated to changing the property management industry for good. Would you like more information about being a part of the change? Contact us!

A successful property management company is one that has weathered the inevitable bumps in the profession’s road. Many newcomers to the industry start out with little experience but a great deal of determination, doing everything they know how to do to create a sustainable, successful business. But unfortunately for many of these determined business owners, their best intentions are simply not enough. One of the top reasons that a property management company ultimately fails is that it is missing the essential business systems that support long-term success.
The business of running a successful property management company requires certain systems to be in place from the start. No property management company will last long without effective sales and marketing programs, streamlined operations systems, solid accounting processes, functional information systems, and more. Expertise in each of these areas is a fundamental component to sustaining and growing a successful property management company.
Once these systems are in place, the key is to make sure that they are repeatable.
Hiring great people to handle advertising your rental homes or showing properties and signing leases is important, but if they are the only ones in your company with expertise in these areas, you might find yourself in a difficult situation if and when they decide to leave. Similarly, relying too much on your operations expert for handling tenant requests, maintenance and repairs, or evictions can concentrate too much knowledge in one position and leave a gaping hole in your business when your expert moves on.
This is why documented, repeatable systems are the key to a successful property management company. Creating them yourself is an option, but when you become a franchise owner of a Real Property Management office, these critical systems are provided for you. No need to build them from scratch, keep using what you have now, or make many of the common errors that most do-it-yourself property managers make early on.
As a franchise owner, you’ll have access to a team of property management experts as well as business coaches, IT professionals, marketing specialists, and more. The Real Property Management marketing program is fully realized and ready for your use. Another key benefit of owning a Real Property Management franchise is the preferential pricing they can offer on necessities like repair and maintenance supplies, bookkeeping and payroll, software, and much more. Finally, their innovative systems and processes come with comprehensive training and owner support, meaning you’ll never flounder around looking for answers to your most pressing business questions.
Whether you are just entering the property management industry or looking to maximize your current business, Real Property Management has the tools and expertise to help your property management company not just survive, but to thrive.

Property management requires full-time work with never a dull moment. But since they are in the business of serving people, our franchisees also take time to give back and serve in their communities.
At Real Property Management our service extends beyond serving property investors and residents. We are stewards in our community. Our purpose includes “We strive to improve lives and our communities…” and one of our core values is “Sense of Family.”
Two offices recently demonstrated our purpose and core values in action by volunteering their time and talents. Not only did their ‘day of service’ support their local communities, but also their efforts provided a diversion from day-to-day work activities and made for a fun day of laughter and bonding for their teams.
Fresh Air for Seniors
The team at Real Property Management Last Frontier in Anchorage, Alaska recently traveled to the Anchorage Pioneers Senior Home and cleaned up the balcony so the residents could enjoy the fresh air.
“Doing volunteer work and holding donation drives is more than just giving time,” says Kassandra Taggart, owner of Real Property Management Last Frontier. “Working as a team outside of our daily work and the positive social interaction helps strengthen our team.”
“This year we volunteered at a facility where two of our clients reside, one of whom is 96 years old and is very proud that she still does her own bank reconciliations.”
Kassandra said the physical workout was also beneficial. “It was nice to enjoy the mountain scenery and watch people moving about in the city while we were moving about, working outside and not sitting at a desk.”
“As a business owner, being able to support and interact with our clients was great. In addition, staff brought their kids which helps us be able to talk about their kids today and connect faces with names. And for me, one of the best parts was that our office’s ‘community team’ is the group that created this opportunity.”
Partnering to Improve Lives
The Real Property Management Salt Lake City office partners with Keller Williams Real Estate for their Red Day acts of service each month. Recently, the two companies worked together cleaning up the landscape at the Fisher House, which provides free temporary housing and a supportive community to people whose loved ones receive medical care.
“We feel it’s incredibly important to give back to our community,” says Kim Bedortha, Vice President of Operations, “and support our network partners with our aligned ‘whys’ of business which is to help people accomplish their dreams and improve their quality of life. The added value in partnering with other companies who have a similar culture helps make a greater impact in spreading acts of service and compassion in our community. Our staff genuinely looks forward to participating and being able to get out there and make a difference on a large scale.”
These are just two examples of how Real Property Management offices give back to their communities. Do you want to learn more about a franchise opportunity that gives back to the community? Please contact us for more information.
